The Confederation of Apprenticeship Training Agencies (CoATA) represents Apprenticeship Training Agencies (ATAs) across the UK. Our members are focused on growing the numbers of employers who engage, recruit, employ, train and retain apprentices in long term employment. They do this by providing a unique blend of services. ATAs can act your recruitment agency, your employment agency, manage your staff training and provide support and mentoring to your apprentices. You can learn more about our services here.
Our members are licensed by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) – the Governments key agency for the development and management of apprenticeship standards and regulation in England and Wales. NAS ensures that licensed ATAs are able to meet the standards set out by their governance and to the high standards set by the Statutory Apprenticeship Standards for England (SASE). All of our members have been through a rigorous application and selection process administered by NAS.
Our patron is His Royal Highness, the Duke of York, who is a strong supporter of apprenticeships and an advocate for the benefit they bring to communities, businesses, individuals and economic growth. He is particularly keen to see more small and medium sized employers (SMEs) engage in the apprenticeship programme and will be supporting a series of CoATA events over the coming months to further develop this agenda.
