Proposed Development:

The Bristol harbourside is a major mixed-use city centre location, adjacent to Bristol’s historic Floating Harbour and close to Bristol Cathedral. At the centre of Harbourside is Canons Yard, a vibrant 200,000 sq ft leisure scheme.  NTR Planning has acted for Canada Life for a number of years to deliver a range of schemes at Canons Yard, including premises for BrewDog, Locked in a Room, Par 59 (indoor golf), Lane 7 (bowling) and a number of restaurants and bars. 

We recently secured consent for the provision of a rooftop terrace for flexible bar, restaurant and leisure uses. The application was made directly to the Secretary of State. We had to carefully balance heritage (this are of the Harbourside is located within the City Docks Conservation Area and there are a number of Grade I listed buildings close by), economic, amenity and biodiversity considerations.
