NTR Planning secured detailed planning permission for U+I in February 2016 for a major urban regeneration scheme at Circus Street, Brighton consisting of 450 student bed spaces, 142 residential apartments, a new office building, ground floor retail, restaurant and commercial workspace, a new public square, dance studio for South East Dance and a new library and academic building for the University of Brighton. Circus Street is a multi award-winning scheme, winning AJ100 Building of the Year 2022, a Sussex Heritage Award 2022 for Large Scale Residential, a WAN award, a Public/Private Partnership Award at the EG Awards, Best Architectural Design award at the South East Construction Awards 2022 and most recently Place of the Year 2023 at the Pineapple Awards.
