Proposed Development:

We have recently received confirmation of lawfulness of a new sports pavilion and two new teaching blocks through the grant of a Lawful Development Certificate for proposed development at Colfe’s school. 

The new buildings were all required to accommodate existing students, and will enable the School to respond swiftly and flexibly to fluctuations in year group sizes and modern curriculum requirements.

The classrooms were required to meet an urgent, short term need but the certificate is not time limited and they may remain in situ in perpetuity. 

We also provided advice to confirm that the school may erect additional buildings, using permitted development rights, up to a relatively generous upper footprint cap.
