Proposed Development:

NTR planning achieved permission on appeal early in 2017 for a new 10,000 plot Muslim burial ground in the Green Belt on behalf of Charity ‘Gardens of Peace’ and has worked closely with them on condition discharge and implementation of this scheme. The Muslim community of north-east London urgently required new facilities to meet their burial needs. This major application faced Green Belt issues and cultural sensitivities which NTR addressed carefully and robustly.  We articulated the unacceptable social consequences if new burial provision was not provided.  Our planning permission now allows the Muslim Community to bury in accordance with their religious beliefs for many years to come – meeting the needs of an ageing and growing population.
