Proposed Development:

NTR Planning acted for Knole Park Golf Club and have recently successfully achieved planning permission for a circa 0.5 hectare water storage reservoir on a Green Belt site,  immediately adjacent to the Grade II listed Golf Club.   The reservoir will store water from rainfall (falling on the footprint of the reservoir), water harvesting, as well as the borehole, and will reduce reliance on water sourced from mains, allowing the Golf Club to transition to a more sustainable irrigation solution.  The site was subject to a number of sensitivities (in proximity to listed buildings/structures, adjacent to a conservation and the east Kent Downs National Character area, an archaeological area, adjacent to the public right of way and within a Biodiversity Opportunity area) and NTR planning pulled together a multi-discipline consultant team to ensure that the new reservoir sat comfortably in the landscape, as well as providing contextually appropriate ecological enhancements.

We worked with the applicants to undertake pre-application community engagement so that local residents were aware of the development, had adequate opportunity to comment and could influence the design of the scheme at an early stage as appropriate.
