Proposed Development:

In April 2024, we secured full planning permission for a new teaching pool at London Fields Lido, Hackney.  The existing Lido is a well-established community facility, and the planning application sought permission for an extension to it to provide an enclosed teaching pool, with linked, DDA compliant changing facilities.  The proposed teaching pool was on the site of a former disused paddling pool and part of the Parks depot (storage and maintenance area). 

The Lido is a locally listed building and sits adjacent to two conservation areas and the whole site is allocated as open space.   NTR planning worked with the client and a multi-disciplinary team to pull together a robust application for planning and effective public engagement and communication with planning, heritage, transport and sustainability officers at pre-app and planning application stages ensured a smooth path to planning approval.
