Proposed Development:

In Summer 2023 NTR Planning was appointed by the Waltham Forest Muslim Burial Trust who sought our considerable expertise in the Muslim burial sector to assist in securing planning permission for a Green Belt extension to their existing Folly Lane burial ground. This project was essential to allow the Trust to continue offering burial to the Muslim communities of Waltham Forest beyond 2023 when their existing provision was due to reach capacity. Having engaged closely with senior officers and Councillors at the local authority we successfully achieved planning permission in July 2023 which will allow the Trust to provide an additional 1,600 grave plots for the community to bury their loved ones.

NTR Planning is currently working with the Trust to discharge pre-commencement planning conditions to allow the new burial area to be used.
