Proposed Development:

Planning permission achieved on behalf of Transport for London for a £50 million new bus garage facility accommodating 320 buses. The scheme incorporates significant sustainable features including a 70 metre high wind turbine, a sedum roof, rainwater harvesting, biomass boilers and combined heat and power units. This scheme was needed to relocate an existing bus garage demolished to make way for the construction of the new Olympic Park. This involved detailed consideration of the continued delivery of bus services throughout the build, highway implications, the overarching need to meet the Olympics timetable, and the wider masterplanning aspirations for the nearby Parcelforce site.
