Niall has 33 years’ experience and knowledge of planning and development matters throughout the UK within private practice, acting as lead consultant in many large and complex development proposals.
His experience includes retail, residential, commercial and industrial development; public sector health and education planning permission and disposal; major city centre redevelopment proposal in Belfast; renewable energy projects in Scotland, Wales and Cornwall; leisure schemes including golf courses, hotels, major indoor ski slopes and holiday villages; prime commercial and office developments; residential schemes on brownfield land and greenfield land; listed building and conservation areas issues; advertisement control; strategic planning advice on property portfolios; and landholding/estate strategies.
He has lectured regularly on Town Planning matters for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) as part of their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.

Mark has extensive experience and knowledge of planning and development matters throughout the UK, gained in both public and private practice. He has strong planning consultancy experience, including all aspects of overseeing major development projects. His experience also includes providing expert planning witness evidence at major planning inquiries.
Mark has achieved great results for a broad range of clients nationwide, providing varied planning consultancy advice on matters relating to commercial, residential, retail, industrial, leisure, education, health, and community uses, together with acting as lead planning consultant on major urban mixed-use development, infrastructure and transportation schemes. His experience includes the sensitive re-use and repurposing of heritage assets.

Mark began his career in 1998 and has over 25 years’ experience in town planning. He joined the NTR Planning team in 2005 and became a Director of the company in 2010. Mark became a Chartered planner in 2000 and received a special award from the RTPI in 2010.
Mark has a broad range of experience across the planning spectrum, with a specialism in retail, leisure and other commercial development. He has delivered on a wide range of schemes including that for new retail parks, supermarkets, hotels and other industrial development.
Mark has acted for, and is retained by, a wide range of clients, including major institutions. Clients include McArthurGlen, Canada Life, abrdn and a range of individual retailers. He has specialist expertise in promoting development through the development plan process and has given evidence at EIPs and at a number of appeal inquiries.
Leading the NTR Planning’s Bristol office, Mark has formed close linkages with planning authorities in the south-west and south of England. He spent the first three years of his career working in local government in the Bristol area. He has recently been involved in a number of major development schemes for student accommodation, residential and health, and has recently provided some pro bono advice for a charity that is seeking to develop a heritage railway line in his local area.

Grace has been working in planning consultancy since 2012, and has been a chartered planner since April 2015, and Associate at NTR Planning since February 2023. Grace has a broad range of experience having worked on major mixed-use urban regeneration schemes as well as leisure and educational, community and tourism projects. Grace has experience of working across the UK and Ireland and is currently involved in schemes across London and the south-east.

Since graduating in 2001 and gaining RTPI membership in 2004, Helen has worked in the private sector on a wide range of projects for local authorities, industrial and commercial businesses, developers and private individuals. With a strong background in planning policy, in her early career Helen was seconded to National Grid for 6 months to assist with the monitoring and drafting of planning policy relating to utilities infrastructure nationwide.
Helen’s experience ranges from changes of use, residential extensions and the discharge of planning conditions through to major mixed use regeneration developments. She has headed up multidisciplinary teams, acted as planning project manager, led planning appeal hearings and represented clients at Examination in Public. Helen is always striving to provide her clients with the best possible service, trying to think ‘outside of the box’ to resolve tricky planning conundrums.
Outside of planning Helen is a passionate horsewoman, at weekends she can often be found on the road, in a horsebox, transporting her daughter and pony to some far-flung competition.

Meghan is a Chartered Town Planner with experience gained in both the public and private sectors since 2000. She began her career in local government and learnt first hand how the democratic process of planning works. She has spent the vast majority of her career in private practice and much of it with current colleagues at NTR Planning. She has a wide range of general practice planning consultancy experience, providing planning consultancy advice in relation to commercial, residential, retail, industrial, leisure developments and educational redevelopment. Development proposals often include sensitive issues, including listed buildings, conservation areas and Green Belt.
Meghan has also been involved in a number of large scale mixed use development schemes and works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Anthony began his planning career in 2003 after having been travelling for a year. He has experience in both public and private sectors, with focus on the south-east of England. Anthony has extensive experience in providing advice on a wide range of developments, predominantly residential and mixed-use. He has a passion for problem solving and strives to simplifying planning issues in order to achieve pragmatic solutions on behalf of our clients.

Sarah has worked with NTR Planning since 2017 supporting both teams in the London and Bristol offices. Since 1988 she has worked in several sectors, with secretarial and support roles being the main occupation.
